ALFRED KIRKE FFRENCH  (Lieutenant)  53^rd The Shropshire Regiment (amalgamated into the King;s Own Shropshire Light Infantry)            The conduct of this officer was highly praised by the whole of the Grenadier Company, which he was commanding at the taking of the Secundra Bagh, Lucknow, November 16^th 1857, and he was elected to receive the Victoria Cross under Rule 13 of the Warrant.  He was one of the first to enter the building.

C. IRWIN  (Private)  53^rd The Shropshire Regiment (amalgamated into the King’s Own Shropshire Light Infantry)           Elected by the Private soldiers of the regiment for his conspicuous bravery at the taking of the Secundra Bagh, Lucknow, November 16^th 1857, when although severely wounded in the shoulder, he was one of the first of his regiment to enter the place under a terrific fire.

J. KENNY  (Private)  53^rd The Shropshire Regiment (amalgamated into the King’s Own Shropshire Light Infantry)            Elected by the private soldiers of his regiment for his gallant conduct and fearless bravery at the assault on the Secundra Bagh,Lucknow, on November 16^th 1857, when in spite of a most heavy crossfire, he volunteered to bring up fresh ammunition to his company.
